It takes
some people all their lives to figure out what they want to be when they
grow up. Samantha always wanted to be a nurse. As with everything Samantha
did in life, she always set a goal and stayed with it. When she was in
middle school, she decided that she wanted to become a cheerleader. Samantha
did not make the team that year, and it crushed her. When she got to high
school, she tried out again. With a little help, she made the team. She
worked very hard everyday to make herself the best cheerleader she could be.
The following year as a sophomore, she made the varsity team. This ability
to persevere, and the desire to be the best she could be at something is how
I know that she would have been a great nurse. She was a volunteer at Hurley
Hospital. During that time, Samantha decided she would like to go into
Pediatrics.
