Where we went.

Sunday (April 8th): Plane from Detroit Atlanta, and from Atlanta to Lima, Peru.

 

Monday (April 9th):  Lima: Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, the Archbishop’s palace, the City Hall, XVII century church and cloister of San Francisco.

 Hotel : Mariel Hotel

 Dinner: Padro’s Chicken Restaurant.

 

Tuesday (April 10th):  Lima: Fly to Cuzco.

We took a City tour : Koricancha, Plaza de Armas, San Francisco monastery.

Hotel: De La Villa Hermoza Hotel.

Dinner: Andean Grill Restaurant

 

Wednesday (April 11th): Cuzco: Went to Ollantaytambo, the Sacred Valley and to Pisac  

Hotel: De La Villa Hermoza Hotel.

Dinner: Andean Grill Restaurant

 

Thursday (April 12th): Cuzco: take a train to Machu Picchu, went to the ruins of Machu Picchu.

Dinner/Hostel: La Cabaña Hostal

 

Friday (April 13th): Cuzco (Machu Picchu): Stayed in town, because I was starting to get sick, shopped around, and explored.

 

Saturday (April 14th): Back to the heart of Cusco:

Hotel: De La Villa Hermoza Hotel.

Dinner: Andean Grill Restaurant

 

Sunday (April 15th): Flight to Lima, stay in Lima for a little while, Flight to Atlanta, Flight to Detroit (April 16th)

 

What we Learned about a place we didn’t know before.

 

Sunday (April 8th): --

 

Monday (April 9th):  There are Lima’s president is not exactlly the peoples favorite.

 

Tuesday (April 10th): Koricancha was the Incan temple for their highest God.  

 

Wednesday (April 11th): Cuzco people are big farmers.

 

 Thursday (April 12th): Incans had a large grassy area that they used kind of like an arena to hold big events, and give speech type things.

 

Friday (April 13th): People are very willing to sell their goods when it comes to the street shops.

 

Saturday (April 14th): There are a lot of stray dogs around Cusco.

Monday (April 9th): Bought an Alpaca fur teddy bear for 15 soles originally priced at 25 soles.

 

Tuesday (April 10th): A bottle of water from a small store across the street.

 

Wednesday (April 11th): Had to turn down a vendor.

 

Thursday (April 12th): Bought a stone in the shape of a heat for 10 soles, originally 20.

 

Friday (April 13th): Ate at a pizza restaurant. (Ordered food, drink, and taled to the waiter a little)

 

Saturday (April 14th): Spoke a little to the workers at the Andean Grill Restaurant

 

Sunday (April 15th):  --

 

Something that was Learned about the People of the Country.

 

 

Sunday (April 8th): --

 

Monday (April 9th):  Lima is very crowded for the people of the city, the city was made for a lot less people than the number of people who actually live there.

 

Tuesday (April 10th): There are a lot of very religious people in Cusco

 

Wednesday (April 11th): There are people who live like the Incans did.

 

Thursday (April 12th): A lot of people in Machu Picchu like to play soccer.

 

Friday (April 13th): The people in Machu Picchu are very good negotiators when it comes to their products.

 

Saturday (April 14th): People used rope across the river, Urubamba.

Something we Learned about Ourselves.

Monday (April 9th):  Celso affected me more than I thought he would.

 

Tuesday (April 10th): I like Coca tea

 

Wednesday (April 11th): I wasn’t as bad as I thought I’d be when it came to shopping, and bartering.

 

Thursday (April 12th): Altitude wasn’t that big of a deal.

 

Friday (April 13th): The internet is a great way to communicate if your phone card craps out on you. Also, I can white river raft.
